We're here... Ireland

So , we made it to the other side of the world.  Crazy to think that just yesterday (or this, depending on how you look at it) morning we were walking around on the beach in Southern California.  We landed in Dublin with fog that makes San Francisco look like a place to get a tan. The little old lady serving us brunch put it best, "No one comes to Ireland for the weather."   But, the adventure commenced for the most part without a hitch.  Waiting for the rental car shuttle was a bit of a fiasco, but the rest was good.

So, not only did I have to drive manual on the "other" side, on the other side of the road, but there was thick fog, and something we never deal with in LA.. RAIN!!  Lord knows how I managed, but we made it here alive.  It really helps to just follow the flow. But, my heart stopped the first time I was the only one to go through a yellow light at a 5 lane intersection.  "Just follow the lines!"

But, once we landed and drove clear across the country in the first two hours of being here, Galway is a pretty neat town.  We wandered all over, saw bridges and old town, and ended the night watching a English Soccer game in a local pub.

Oh, and thanks Alan for the dinner suggestion. It was fantastic and there is certainly no way we would have found that without your help.
